FloConnector is a hosted Pylon MCP server. Securely connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI clients to Pylon. Ask in plain English; it runs the 25 tools for you, behind one endpoint, with you deciding what it can touch.
Beta. Connect it today and every tool below is live. It is new enough that we are still testing it against real Pylon accounts, so tell us if something looks off and we will fix it fast.
Built in-house. We wrote this connector ourselves and call Pylon directly, with no third party in the path. Nothing in a request or response is retained by anyone but Pylon.
Single connection. One Pylon organisation per workspace. Connect another in a separate workspace.
Tools
25 tools your agent gets the moment Pylon is connected.

List solar projects newest first with customer, address, sold status and primary design. Filter by reference number, owner, date, sold or archived. Start here to find a project_id.
Get one solar project in full: customer, site address and coordinates, site details (roof, phases, meter), sold status, and every design on it with size and price. Use a design id with pylon_get_design_quote.
List solar designs with system size (kW, kWh), title and total price, across projects or for one project. Filter by project, opportunity, size or date. Prices are in cents.
Get one design: system size, every component with its SKU and quantity, price, incentives (STCs and other certificates), and links to the proposal, PDF, single-line diagram and site plan. Amounts in cents.
Get every quote line on a design (hidden ones included) with quantities, prices and tax, plus the subtotal, tax, total after rebates and amount payable. Set customer_view to see only what the customer sees. Cents.
Get the installer job sheet made from a design, when one exists. Designs without a job sheet say so; one is made in Pylon.
Edit a project's reference number, customer details, site details, owner or primary design, or archive it. Only the fields you pass change; everything else is kept. Cannot commit a project.
Create a DRAFT project at an address, for a person to confirm in Pylon. Drafts never spend credits. Pylon enables this per team; if it is not enabled the error says so. Give coordinates or a street address.
Make a link that opens Pylon's map at a location or address, ready to create a project with the customer's details filled in. A person clicks it and confirms. Makes no change and spends nothing.
List what happened in Pylon in the last 30 days, newest first: proposals signed, payments received, projects and designs created or changed, leads created. Changes made through the API are not listed. Filter by event type and date.
Get one activity event by ID, with the project, design or opportunity it concerns. Pylon keeps events for 30 days.
Look up a panel, inverter, battery, heat pump, EV charger, air con, optimiser or mounting system by SKU: brand, model, certifications and datasheet link. Get the SKU from pylon_get_design or a price row.
List the team's sale and cost prices for hardware and materials, newest first. Filter by component type (adds each component's name), SKU, product code or text. Latest prices by default. Cents, ex tax.
Get one component price record by ID: the component it's for, sale price, cost, product code and whether it is still the current price. Cents, ex tax.
Set the price Pylon adds to designs for one component, from now on. Creates a new price record; the old one is kept as history. Cents, excluding tax. Affects every future design using the component.
List the team's materials catalogue (non-hardware quote items such as cabling, isolators or labour) with category, SKUs, price, cost and markup. Search by text. Prices in cents.
Get one material from the team's catalogue with its category, SKUs, price, cost and markup. Prices in cents.
Add a material to the team's catalogue so it can go on quotes: name, brand, category, and optionally its price, cost, markup and wholesaler SKU. Name and brand can't be changed afterwards. Cents.
Change a material's category, wholesaler SKU, price, cost or markup, or archive it. Only the fields you pass change. Pass null to clear one. Name and brand can't be changed. Cents.
Calculate how many small-scale technology certificates (STCs) an Australian solar system earns, from its DC size, postcode and installation year. Returns the STC count, rating zone and deeming period.
List the optional add-ons the team offers on proposals, in their display order. Read-only.
List the people on the Pylon team with name, email and job title, plus bot and API-token users. Use the IDs to filter projects and opportunities by owner.
Get one person on the Pylon team by user ID: name, email, job title and type. Resolves the owner_id on projects and opportunities.
List files uploaded to Pylon through the API (for example interval data for analysis), with purpose and expiry. Unused files expire.
Get one uploaded file's name, purpose, upload time and expiry.

Create a FloConnector workspace, connect Pylon once from the dashboard, then add your FloConnector endpoint to Claude as a custom connector. Claude handles the sign-in prompt; there is no server to host and no code to write. The same endpoint works in ChatGPT.
25 tools: 20 that read Pylon data and 5 that change it. Every tool is listed on this page, so you can see exactly what the model is able to call before you connect.
No. FloConnector holds the Pylon credential, encrypted before it is stored, and calls Pylon on the model's behalf. The AI client only ever sees the tools and their results, never the credential behind them.
Yes. Each connection is exposed through a profile, and a profile carries only the tools you switch on. Leave the 5 write tools off and the connection is read-only.
Yes. The endpoint is a standard hosted MCP server, so it works in any client that supports MCP connectors, including Claude and ChatGPT.
